We're back for our traditional 4th of July parade! This year's theme is Always Patriotic, Always Audubon: Honoring Audubon's History as "The Most Patriotic Small Town in America,”
Home to Three Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients.
The parade will start at 8:15 am on 7/4 at Amherst Road and Paris Avenue. It will proceed down Amherst Road, turn left onto East Pine Street, turn left onto Edgewood Avenue, pass the judge's reviewing stand in front of the high school, turn right onto Washington Terrace, and end at the Francis J. Ward Recreation Center, after turning right onto Hampshire Avenue. The entire route is 1.8 miles long.
Anyone interested in being in the parade, whether with a vehicle, float, marching, participating in bike and baby parade, and classic cars, please see our website for more information and registration links: https://www.auduboncivicreach.org/independence-day Pre-registration (deadline 4pm on 7/1) is required so that we can create a line-up that keeps the parade as balanced as possible.
We are also in need of volunteer street captains (help get parade participants in line), judges, on-route coordinators, and banner carriers. We are happy to sign off on service hours for teens for some volunteer positions. Read more and register here: https://www.auduboncivicreach.org/volunteer-registration
Thank you as always to our residents and businesses that make donations to keep these events going! A special thanks to our Platinum parade sponsors: Civic Solutions, Bach Associates, and Frank Woodwind & Brass Repair.
